Schuylkill sweeps Clark Summit 9-0 and 10-4.
In game one, Dakota Bitner got the offense jump started with a solo homer. Teammates Matt Roberts and Karlos Joseph also hit homeruns in the 3rd inning, pacing Schuylkill to 5-0 advantage. That would be all pitcher Nick Rodstrom would need as he pitched a complete game shutout. Rodstrom allowed 6 hits and struckout 10. Schuylkill would pound out 14 hits, including 4 for 4 from Juan Familia and Matt Roberts went 3 for 4 with 4 runs batted in on the way to the 9-0 win.
In second game, Schuylkill's Derrrick Eberhart took to the mound and picked up the 10-4 victory. After Schuylkill jumped out to an early 2-0 lead Clark Summit would rally back to take 3-2 advantage on some Schuylkill defensive miscues. The lead was short lived as Schuylkill would score 4 runs in the 4th and 5th innings to stiffle any rally by the Defenders.
