Gannon, Dress, and Mowafi Claim Player of the Week Honors
Zoe Gannon, Olivia Dress, and Malak Mowafi each earned Player of the Week accolades from the PSUAC, with Gannon additionally being recognized by the USCAA.
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Zoe Gannon, Olivia Dress, and Malak Mowafi each earned Player of the Week accolades from the PSUAC, with Gannon additionally being recognized by the USCAA.
Zoë Gannon (Leesport, PA / Schuylkill Valley) was named the USCAA Division II Women's Soccer Player of the Week, as well as the PSUAC Women's Soccer Defender of the Week. Gannon was impressive throughout the week, netting a total of four goals during Penn State Schuylkill's three-game winning streak. During that run, Schuylkill outscored its opponents 19-3.
Olivia Dress (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Schuylkill Haven) received both the PSUAC Player of the Week and PSUAC Rookie of the Week honors. Dress was a key contributor during Schuylkill's streak, scoring a goal in each of the three contests, including the decisive goal in their 3-2 victory over Penn State New Kensington.
Malak Mowafi (Iselin, NJ / JFK Memorial) was named PSUAC Runner of the Week after achieving her personal best time of 29:16.9 at the Highlander Invitational, hosted by Cairn University. Mowafi's time secured her 19th place overall, cementing a top-20 finish.
