Entering his second year as an Assistant Coach for the Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer team, Gannon brings 15 years of youth coaching experience and a passion for helping players develop both on and off the field.
Gannon's coaching journey began on the sidelines of his children's youth soccer teams. What started as a way to support his family quickly grew into a lifelong passion for teaching the game and sharing the joy of soccer with young athletes.
"Sharing the joy of soccer with the youth" is what inspired Gannon to continue coaching and join the Penn State Schuylkill program.
As he enters his second season with the Nittany Lions, Gannon's focus is on helping the team continue to improve.
"My goal is to continue improving," he said.
One of Gannon's favorite soccer memories came during Penn State Schuylkill's PSUAC Championship victory, a milestone that showcased the dedication and teamwork of the program.
Beyond coaching at the collegiate level, Gannon has also made an impact in his local soccer community by starting a pre-K soccer program for his youth club, introducing the game to the next generation of players.
As he continues with the Penn State Schuylkill coaching staff, Gannon looks forward to helping student-athletes grow, compete, and build on the success of the Nittany Lions Women's Soccer program.
