Lions Sweep Christendom in Offensive Showcase
Penn State Schuylkill battled for an 8–7 walk-off win in Game 1 before exploding for 19 runs in a dominant 19–0 victory in Game 2 to complete the doubleheader sweep over Christendom.
Game 1 – Penn State Schuylkill 8, Christendom 7
The Lions battled back-and-forth with Christendom in the opener before securing the win in thrilling fashion.
Christendom struck first in the opening inning, but Schuylkill responded immediately. Dominic Zimmerman delivered a two-RBI single in the first, scoring Roman Cieless and Joey Ruggiero to tie the game.
The Lions continued to manufacture runs throughout the game. Tyler Shuey drove in a run with an RBI single in the second, while Connor Licklider scored on a wild pitch and later crossed the plate again on a Zimmerman RBI single in the fifth, helping Schuylkill take the lead.
Christendom mounted a rally in the fifth and seventh innings to tie the game at 7–7, setting up late-game drama.
With the game on the line in the bottom of the seventh, Roman Cieless delivered the deciding blow, launching a walk-off home run to left field to secure the 8–7 victory for the Lions.

Schuylkill wasted no time jumping ahead. Roman Cieless blasted a two-run home run in the first inning, scoring Connor Licklider and putting the Lions up early.
The Lions broke the game open in the second inning with a massive offensive surge. Connor Licklider delivered a bases-clearing double, driving in three runs to extend the lead. Schuylkill capitalized on several walks, hit-by-pitches, and timely hits to push the lead well into double digits.
The scoring continued in the third inning with RBI hits from Shawn Pallay, Connor Licklider, and Roman Cieless, while Owen Shoop added an RBI double during the rally.
On the mound, the Lions pitching staff was dominant, keeping Christendom off the scoreboard and limiting offensive opportunities.
