Penn State Schuylkill fell behind early and couldn't recover, dropping the opener 6-2 despite a big swing from Roman Cieless.

After falling behind 2-0 in the fourth inning, Schuylkill answered immediately. With two outs and the bases loaded, Shawn Pallay delivered a clutch two-run single to tie the game at 2-2.
Hazleton regained the lead in the sixth on another wild pitch, but the Lions stayed composed. In the seventh, Tyler Shuey worked a walk and later scored on an RBI single from Conner Licklider to even things at 3-3.
In the eighth, the Lions capitalized on pressure and defensive miscues. Dan Zimmerman reached on an error, advanced on a sacrifice, and came around to score on a walk-off RBI single by Yostin Guerrero Solano.
