Schuylkill Honors Seniors in Flag Football Season Finale
Despite a tough 20-0 loss to the University of Delaware, Penn State Schuylkill celebrated the careers and leadership of its four senior flag football players.
Penn State Schuylkill flag football wrapped up its season on April 22 with a home matchup against the University of Delaware, falling 20-0 in a game that also served as Senior Day. Before kickoff, the program honored graduating seniors Nekeya Smith, Nadia King, Malak Mowafi, and Cheyenne Whitehead—four foundational players who helped build the team's identity through grit, leadership, and commitment.
Defensively, Schuylkill held strong early and went into halftime trailing just 6-0, but a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns from Delaware sealed the outcome. While the offense struggled to capitalize on opportunities, the defense stayed active, recording four interceptions and several key pass breakups.
Senior Malak Mowafi had a strong showing in her final game, contributing on both sides of the ball with 7 receptions and 2 interceptions on defense. Fellow senior Cheyenne Whitehead added two tackles.
