Penn State Schuylkill men's basketball wrapped up its pre-Thanksgiving slate on the road Monday night, falling 87–64 at Shenandoah University. The Hornets came out firing, hanging 54 points in the first half and shooting better than 50 percent from the field for the game, building a double-digit cushion that Schuylkill couldn't quite reel back in.
Offensively, the Lions were again led by guard Amir Gray, who finished with 19 points and 7 rebounds while attacking the rim and living at the free-throw line (6-for-8). Issac Lane chipped in 12 points, 3 assists and a steal, while Bryce Hensley provided an energetic boost with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals off the bench. Schuylkill showed flashes in the second half, but an early deficit and cold outside shooting (4-for-21 from three) proved too much to overcome against a deep Shenandoah lineup that featured five players with at least 9 points.
Now 2–4 on the season, the Lions head into Thanksgiving break, regrouping and recharging with the goal of coming back ready to work and make a strong push when they return to action.
