Troutman Shines with Personal-Best 85
Penn State Schuylkill turned in a strong showing at the PSU Mont Alto Invitational on September 17, highlighted by Hogan Troutman's team- and personal-low round of 85. Troutman's career day led the Lions to a seventh-place team finish with a combined score of 356.
Schuylkill's balanced effort included scoring rounds from Branson Devitt (87), Hayden Lee (88), Cole Yelinek (90), and Conner Licklider (91). The Lions also saw contributions from teammates whose scores did not factor into the team total, with Bryce Peiffer-Lesher carding a 97 and Carson Yourey posting a 104.
The team battled through an overcast day to stay competitive in a field that featured strong performances across the conference.
The Lions will now shift their focus to their home course, Mountain Valley Golf Course, where they host Penn State Hazleton and Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, September 25.
