Men's Cross Country preps for final push towards postseason.
Schuylkill closes out regular season Oct. 12 at DeSales Invitational.
The Schuylkill Men's Cross Country Team for 2019 features a mix of veteran runners and talented newcomers.
The team is led by its captain, Willie Streisel. Willie, a graduate of Mahoanoy Area, distinguished himself by placing 21st at the 2018 USCAA Cross Country National Championships, where he placed second among PSUAC finishers.
Returning to the team are: sophomore, Kevin Stancavage, seniors, Vraj Patel and Ian McGowan, and sophomore Owen Pothering.
Freshmen, Shaune Sun, Maximus St. Lewis, and Kellen McLendon have made remarkable strides as first-year runners.
The men's team recently ran meets at Penn State Mont Alto and Brandywine, and will head to the DeSales Invitational next week, then to the PSUAC Championship Meet at Mont Alto on October 26.
