Schuylkill Softball Drops Doubleheader at Wilson Despite Early Leads
Penn State Schuylkill opened scoring in both games on Saturday but couldn’t hold off Wilson College in a tough nonconference road sweep.

In a tightly contested opener, Penn State Schuylkill came up just short in a 2-1 loss to Wilson College, despite a solid outing in the circle by Emma Crisswell.
Wilson broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning with an RBI single from Sydney Hartle, and after Schuylkill tied it in the sixth on a Mackenzie Carl RBI single, the Phoenix regained the lead later that frame, capitalizing on a throwing error to score the go-ahead run.
Crisswell struck out seven and allowed just four hits over six innings, but Wilson's timely execution proved to be the difference.

After taking an early 1-0 lead, Penn State Schuylkill saw the game slip away as Wilson College used a six-run fourth inning to break things open en route to a 10-2 victory and a doubleheader sweep.
Mackenzie Carl doubled home Emma Crisswell in the first inning, and Keira Devor added a run-scoring triple in the fourth to briefly pull the Lions within one. But Wilson's Katelyn Keller put on a show at the plate, driving in six runs on a home run, single, and a bases-clearing triple to lead the Phoenix's offensive charge.
The Lions were held to five hits overall and committed two errors, while Wilson tallied 11 hits and didn't make a defensive miscue.
