MONT ALTO, Pa. — Penn State Schuylkill women's soccer continued its dominant conference run with a 3–1 road win over Penn State Mont Alto on Wednesday afternoon. The victory keeps Schuylkill perfect in PSUAC play (7–0) and looks to try to lock in the top seed for the upcoming conference playoffs with one game remaining in regular season play Saturday vs PSU Beaver.
Leah Alexander led the charge with two goals and an assist, while Olivia Dress added a goal and an assist of her own. Alexander struck first in the 27th minute before Dress doubled the lead minutes later. After Mont Alto trimmed the deficit early in the second half, Schuylkill responded quickly as Alexander connected again—this time off a setup from Dress—to seal the win.
The Lions' back line, anchored by goalkeeper Victoria Grimm (3 saves), held firm against late pressure to close out another strong team effort built on communication and composure.
With one regular-season game remaining this Saturday at Penn State Beaver—an opponent Schuylkill defeated earlier this fall—the Lions are set to host a PSUAC Playoff Semifinal on Friday, November 1, with kickoff time and opponent to be announced after conference play finishes up Saturday.
Focused and confident, Schuylkill now turns its attention to finishing the regular season strong and continuing its quest for a back-to-back PSUAC Championship.
