Women's Soccer Dominates PSUAC All-Conference Awards
Dress Named Player of the Year, Sypniewski Defender of the Year as Schuylkill Sweeps Honors
After a historic regular season that saw Penn State Schuylkill women's soccer finish undefeated in PSUAC play (8-0) and secure the #1 seed heading into the postseason, the Lions swept major honors in the 2025 PSUAC All-Conference Awards announced Friday.
Leading the way was sophomore Olivia Dress, who was named PSUAC Player of the Year, following up her 2024 Rookie of the Year award. Dress was a force on the pitch all season, finishing tied for third in the conference with nine goals, ranking second in assists (11), and second in total points (29). Her offensive surge late in the year helped fuel Schuylkill's perfect conference run, with five of her nine goals coming in the final three games.
Joining Dress among the major award winners was senior defender Haley Sypniewski, who earned PSUAC Defender of the Year honors. A team captain and defensive leader, Sypniewski anchored a back line that allowed just six goals in PSUAC play and recorded five shutouts, including half of their conference contests. Her ability to organize the backfield and push forward offensively was critical to Schuylkill's dominance this fall.
The Lions placed a conference-high eight players on All-Conference teams, including an incredible six First-Team selections:

Victoria Grimm, Goalkeeper – led the PSUAC in shutouts and was the defensive backbone behind five clean sheets.

Grace Fenstermacher, Defender – versatile and relentless, contributing both in transition and possession with strong tackling and recovery play.

Haley Sypniewski, Defender – PSUAC Defender of the Year, pivotal in maintaining the lowest goals-against average in the league.

Leah Alexander, Midfielder – Ranked 10th in goals (7), 3rd in assists (6), and 7th in total points (20) in the PSUAC. Alexander's ability to generate offense from the midfield made her one of the league's most complete playmakers, contributing both in distribution and finishing.

Nia Bronson, Midfielder – The conference's leading goal scorer (13) and top-five in points (28), Bronson was Schuylkill's offensive catalyst. Her .289 shot percentage and three game-winners paced the league, and she was lethal in clutch moments to secure key victories over Hazleton, Mont Alto, and Beaver.

Olivia Dress, Midfielder – PSUAC Player of the Year; 9 goals, 11 assists, 29 points, and a .750 SOG percentage. Dress continued to prove herself as one of the most dangerous two-way players in the PSUAC.

Madison Warnack, Forward – Ranked 6th in goals (8), 8th in points (19), and 2nd in total shots (59) across the PSUAC, Warnack was an offensive workhorse for Schuylkill. She netted five goals in conference play, including a decisive strike to clinch the regular-season title, and finished among the top ten in game-winners (1).

Nancy Le, Defender – Ranked among the top 25 in the PSUAC in shots (21) and provided key defensive coverage and midfield support all season.

Abigail Klokis, Midfielder – A steady contributor with strong two-way play, known for her vision and control under pressure.
Additionally, Alyssa DeBronzo earned the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award, recognized for her leadership, integrity, and positive influence both on and off the field.
The top-seeded Lions open their postseason tomorrow, Saturday at 1 p.m., hosting Penn State Beaver in the PSUAC semifinals as they look to defend their conference championship and make another deep USCAA postseason run.
