Now entering her sixth season as head coach of the Penn State Schuylkill women's soccer team, Kaylee Berkheiser has built one of the most successful programs in school history. Under her leadership, the Nittany Lions have captured back-to-back PSUAC Championships, the first conference titles in program history, and Berkheiser was named the 2024-25 PSUAC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year.

A graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Berkheiser was a four-year soccer player before continuing her education at Shippensburg University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting. She later completed her MBA at Kutztown University.

The program's championship success stands as Berkheiser's favorite coaching memory.

"Winning our first PSUAC Championship in school history."

While the championships are a point of pride, her focus remains on sustaining a culture built on commitment, teamwork, and passion.

"My goal is to continue building a championship program and compete for PSUAC titles every season."

When evaluating players and building her team, Berkheiser looks for qualities that extend beyond talent.

"Respect for teammates and coaching staff, and a real passion for the game are key."

Away from the soccer field, Berkheiser balances coaching with a full-time career as an accountant while also owning a pet services business. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, kayaking, woodworking, and spending time with her three dogs.

Reflecting on the people who have contributed to the program's success, Berkheiser shared her appreciation.

"Thank you to the athletics staff for keeping our teams running. Thank you to my players for trusting me to be your coach."

With two PSUAC championships already under her belt, Berkheiser continues to raise the standard for Penn State Schuylkill women's soccer, helping student-athletes grow as competitors, teammates, and leaders both on and off the field.
