Penn State Schuylkill Battles in Tight Three-Set Match at Delaware Valley

Despite strong performances from Amira Douglas and Lainey Dusel, who combined for 12 kills, Penn State Schuylkill pushed Delaware Valley to the brink in every set before falling 3–0 on the road.

Penn State Schuylkill went point-for-point with Delaware Valley (7–11) in nearly every set, but late runs by the Aggies proved to be the difference. The Lions opened strong, forcing extra points in both the first and second sets before narrowly falling in straight sets.

Amira Douglas and Lainey Dusel led the offensive attack with six kills apiece, while Amanda Burns added five kills and an ace. Setter Ryliegh Sinko paced the offense with 21 assists and anchored the back row with 16 digs, while libero Lyla Kershner tallied a match-high 20 digs and contributed an ace and an assist.

At the net, Douglas recorded two solo blocks and Kenzie Staller added one, helping the Lions keep Delaware Valley to a modest .050 hitting percentage for the match. Dusel also made an impact from the service line, leading the team with two aces.
