Lions Celebrate Seniors on Home Court
Penn State Schuylkill honored senior Sierra Wishnefsky and 2+2 player Addie Stagon during a spirited home match against Penn State Hazleton.
Penn State Schuylkill hosted Penn State Hazleton in its final home match of the season, a night dedicated to honoring seniors Sierra Wishnefsky and Addie Stagon, a 2+2 student who began her journey at Schuylkill before continuing at University Park. The Lions fought hard through each set, keeping the first two frames competitive before Hazleton closed out the match in straight sets (25-19, 25-21, 25-10).
Offensively, Lainey Dusel led Schuylkill with 8 kills, while Amira Douglas added 6 kills on an efficient .462 hitting percentage. Ryliegh Sinko directed the offense with 15 assists and chipped in a service ace, while Lyla Kershner added 2 aces and a team-high 11 digs. The Lions showed moments of strong blocking and back-row defense, keeping rallies alive and energizing the home crowd throughout the night.
