Women's Cross Country Races In Go Fast River Run
All five runners from Penn State Schuylkill achieved personal bests while competing in the Go Fast River Run, hosted by Lock Haven University on Saturday.
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – All five runners from Penn State Schuylkill Women's Cross Country achieved personal bests while competing in the Go Fast River Run, hosted by Lock Haven University on Saturday.
The race featured four teams, with Lock Haven University claiming victory with a team score of 33. Gwen Lloyd, representing Lock Haven, was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 22:32.8.
This event marked a milestone for the Schuylkill team, as every runner achieved a personal best. Leading the Schuylkill squad was Malak Mowafi (Iselin, NJ / JFK Memorial), who finished with a time of 27:39.2. Also setting personal records for Schuylkill were Farangiz Kholmatova (Fergana, UZB / Uzbekistan), Abby Purcell (Hegins, PA / Tri-Valley), Bolu Akinrinade (Levittown, PA / Neshaminy), and Jessica Cecil (Lusby, MD / Patuxent).
