Penn State University Athletic Conference Opens Up Golf Season.
The PSU Schuylkill team took the Allentown Municipal Golf Course to compete in the conference opening event.
With a total score of 368 the Schuylkill team finished fourth in the team competition.
The team was paced by Bryan Dimon (Pine Grove), who shot a 86 and Jordan Blankenhorn (Pine Grove) with a 89. Dimon finish 11 strokes behind the leader Penn State Hazleton Pat Blaney who finished the event with 75. Winn Allen (Blue Mt.) and Jeff Archer (Pine Grove) rounded out the Lions score with 96 and 97, respectively.
Penn State Schuylkill will next be in action on Sept. 13. When the Lions host opponents from the rest of the PSUAC, at Mountain Valley Golf Course.
