Schuylkill improves to 10-1 after 10-3 and 17-1 victories over Scranton. Bryanna Snowell(Freshman/Pottsville) struck out 19 batters in two games as the local Lady Lions swept a PSUAC doubleheader with Penn State Scranton.
In the opener, Snowell struck out 13 as PSU-Schuylkill captured a 10-3 victory. Alex Larish and Damah Conteh (Freshman/Woodrow Wilson) each had two-run hits in a five-run fifth inning that broke a 3-3 tie.
In Game 2, Schuylkill offense unleased a 16 hit attack. Jena Leffler (Freshman/ Pine Grove) went 3-for-3 with a double, home run, three runs scored and five RBIs as Schuylkill rolled to a 17-1 roll in four innings. Morgan Aulenbach (Soph./Blue Mt.) was also 3-for-3 while Snowell homered.
In the circle, Snowell fanned six in tossing a two-hitter to improve to 10-1 on the season.
