Women's Basketball Finishes 2-0 Against Fisher College
Women’s Basketball went on to defeated Fisher College in the second of two meetings between the two programs. Kassidy Ingram led Penn State Schuylkill with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA - Fresh off a 68-28 victory over Fisher College on Saturday, Women's Basketball went on to defeated Fisher College in the second of two meetings between the two programs.
Schuylkill outscored Fisher 20-5 in the first period. Schuylkill held Fisher to 16 percent shooting from the field while shooting 43 percent and converting 50 percent of their 3-point attempts in the quarter. Schuylkill outrebounded Fisher 33-12 in the first half.
An 11-2 stretch by Fisher to begin the third quarter brought their deficit to 31-22 with 4:33 remaining in the period. Schuylkill answered with a 10-0 run to end the period and push their lead to 19 heading into the fourth. Schuylkill sustained their lead throughout the fourth and went on to defeat Fisher, 58-36.
Kassidy Ingram (Abington, PA / Trinity High School) led Schuylkill with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Jasmine Wright (Sicklerville, NJ / Winslow Township High School) finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Allison Crockett (Liverpool, PA / Greenwood High School) added 10 points off the bench. Nadia King (Harrisburg, PA / Susquehanna Township High School) contributed with 9 points and 6 assists.
Schuylkill (15-7. 10-2 PSUAC) returns to conference play on Tuesday as they host Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Tip-off is set of 6:00 p.m.
